Our mission is to alleviate the suffering of people who lack clean drinking water due to natural disasters, hazards or other adverse environmental causes.
We do this by manufacturing and marketing state-of-the-art water purifying equipment that is both affordable and portable.
Our expertise in producing this product comes from our experience in responding to water problems associated with two major Japanese earthquakes: the Hanshin Earthquake in 1995 (magnitude of 7.2) and the Chuetsu Earthquake in 2004 (magnitude of 6.8). These devastating natural disasters led Nippon Basic to develop affordable and portable water purifying equipment capable of transforming dirty undrinkable water into water that is clean and healthy to drink.
Nippon Basic Co., Ltd., was founded in 2005 in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, by Yuichi Katsuura. Prior to founding the company, Mr. Katsuura had been a water-purifying specialist for over 30 years with Mitsubishi Rayon. With the expertise he acquired at Mitsubishi Rayon, his hard work, and his strong sense of social responsibility, Mr. Katsuura was recognized and honored as the most outstanding entrepreneur of 2006 by Kawasaki City, Kanagawa. At the same time, he was engaged with the City’s municipal office on its water environmental projects. As well, Mr. Katsuura frequently travels to other Asian countries experiencing problems with adequate clean drinking water to introduce them to how his products can help solve this problem.
Nippon Basic manufactures and markets four types of water-purifying equipment:
Cycloclean bicycle, a Portable series, Cycloclean 1500 and Desaliclean series.
